A Message From Our President
Fall 2010

Quick! What is the very last word of our Oath of Friendship? (answer later...)

2009-10 was a wonderful Clearwater DG year, with a record-breaking Garage Sale, our fabulous 50th Jubilee, and an elegant Founders Day brunch. At Convention in Denver we were honored once again to receive the Five Stars to Alumnae Success award, and were recognized in Region 3 with both the "Outstanding Communications: and "Excellence in Programming Innovation" awards!

So, how to chart the course for clearwater's 51st year and beyond? Much like our previous five decades, we will focus on Fun, Friendship, and Philanthropy - with a few modern twists. Follow us on our very own Facebook page, for starters. Just for FUN, no business or reservations required, check out our Lunch Bunch schedule and our Girls' Nite Out calendar. We've planned at least one occasion for each night of the week and we'll visit all parts of our region. Events range from dining to crafts, from nominal to FREE! For FRIENDSHIP, meet your sisters at our monthly Wednesday night meetings. Highlights include a wine-tasting event, an ice cream social, and a lighted boat parade - see the roster for details. And, if you'd like the time you spend with Delta Gamma to focus on our PHILANTHROPY, plan to attend the Tea for Tots Luncheon supporting the Lighthouse of Pinellas - or join us for a tour of their facility in October - or help as we assist with the Tour of Kitchens next spring.

Now, about that last word of the Oath of Friendship - did you remember? It is "ALWAYS" - as in, you are ALWAYS a Delta Gamma, regardless of your stage in life. And you are ALWAYS welcome at every Delta Gamma event, whether this is your first meeting as an alumnae or your 51st - we'd just like to get to know you better! Each one of you is special and valuable, and we are ALWAYS delighted to expand our friendships. I'm looking forward to seeing you this fall.

In the Bonds,
Pat Dieterich, Clearwater Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter President
